Late 19th Century French Provincial Louis XV Walnut Three-Door Enfilade
A substantial late 19th-century French Provincial three-door enfilade or buffet, dating to approximately 1880–1900.
Beautifully proportioned despite its impressive scale, the cabinet features three paneled doors with shaped Louis XV-inspired moldings, decorative brass escutcheons and hinges, paneled ends and an exceptionally detailed carved apron terminating in scrolling feet. The long plank top displays wonderful grain, color variation and the mellow surface character acquired through generations of use.
Behind the three doors is generous open storage with a long interior shelf, making this an unusually functional antique for use as a sideboard, buffet or substantial storage cabinet.
Constructed of walnut and mixed woods using traditional joinery, the piece retains extensive evidence of its age and history throughout. Old pegs, shrinkage, previous repairs, surface wear, scratches, losses, color variation and irregularities remain visible and were intentionally preserved rather than erased through excessive restoration.
The cabinet has been cleaned while retaining its aged character. No restoration or touch ups have been made. One original lock is missing from the center door; a compatible replacement lock and functioning key will be fitted prior to shipment.
A wonderfully substantial piece of French Provincial furniture with the scale, patina and imperfections that only genuine age can provide.

Good Condition, Original Condition Unaltered, Some Imperfections
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. The cabinet shows extensive age-related surface wear including scratches, abrasions, stains, shrinkage, separations, minor losses, uneven coloration and previous repairs. Areas of heavier wear and surface irregularity are present throughout, particularly around the doors, edges and lower portions of the case. One lock is currently absent from the center door and will be replaced with a compatible lock; a functioning key will be provided prior to shipment. Hardware exhibits wear and variation consistent with age and may include historic replacements. Please review all photographs closely, as the considerable age and associated imperfections are an integral part of the piece.
