A beautifully detailed pair of Mid-20th Century sculptural doves by Italian artist A. Santini, each perched atop a solid marble base. Crafted in Santini’s signature classical style, the birds are made of bonded marble composite (an artisan technique combining marble dust with resin for intricate carving and durability), finished in an elegant ivory tone.
Hefty and substantial in weight, these pieces showcase incredible texture and craftsmanship with hand-carved feather detailing and serene, graceful forms. The black marble bases create a striking contrast to the soft white of the doves.
Both pieces retain the original “Classic Figure” gold foil label, marked “A. Santini – Made in Italy.”
Minor wear to the bases and figures consistent with age and display.
